The Cursed
An out spoken young woman who is kind in nature but not one to be taken advantage of. She is the hero in the tale. She comes from a happy family of villagers but is angered when the “Blue bloods” or “Royals” take over the picking of their berries.
The so called witch, the one that bestows the curse on the “Blue Bloods” and turns those that eat of the famed berry bush, into Wolves. Lorna is hungry for attention and is knowledgeable in herbs and how to administer them as medicine. She is a moarnful soul that does not have anyone to call a true friend.
The nephew of Rupert and the one that changes the mind of Bess that some royals may be alright.
Rupert is the love interest of Lorna that proves to be using Lorna and admits that he would have had his way with her whether she let him or not.
The minister who does his best to keep the villagers from seeking revenge and tries to get them to find a solution to their problem.
Jonas is the ax man in the woods that keeps an eye and ear out for the ladies while they pick their berries.
Rupert's cohort and companion. He thinks highly of himself and turns his nose up everyone he deems unworthy and less than him.
Mabel is Prisca's best friend. She is rude, wild and wicked. She has a sadistic sense of humor but this is to her demise.
The finance of Rupert. She is some what naive but still a royal and goes along with their ways.
Bess and Winifred's mother. Kindly and full of God's love.

Esther is the matriarch of those that go into the woods to pick their berries. She is not married and so has no children so she is free to go with the young ladies and also keep an eye on them.
One of the best friends of Bess. A very sweet young woman who is very fair.
